Yes, you can! Dancing is as easy as walking once you are taught how by our Dance Teaching Experts. We teach simple, foundational elements, that all steps are derived from. There is no age limit. Our oldest students are over 70. The youngest are in their early teens.
Getting started is simple. Click here to receive your complimentary Intro Lesson with one of our amazing Dance Instructors. During that lesson, your instructor will determine your current level and recommend the appropriate program for you to continue.
Tuition varies depending on a number of factors. Each student has their own specific needs and goals, whether it is social dancing, competitive dancing or just for fun. At PDX we ensure that every dance program suits our student’s individual goals and budget.
Absolutely Not. Singles and couples are both welcome. If you don’t have a partner, we will be happy to pair you up with one of our amazing dance instructors. In our group classes and practice parties will provide plenty of opportunities to meet and dance with other students with the same interests and goals.
The length of your program will depend on how many dances you would like to learn and how proficient you wish to become in each dance style. However, we will ensure that on your first lesson you will be dancing!

All of our dance teachers are qualified and dedicated individuals that care about the success of their students. We will make sure to provide a dance teacher that suits your needs and goals.

You will learn the very latest dance steps in any and all social dances from Club Dancing, Ballroom Dancing, to the latest Latin styles (Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, etc) for any social occasion.
Not at all! We are known for making learning fun and easy. We teach five simple basic movements, from which new and more advanced combinations are derived.
We highly recommend that you schedule your lessons close together, especially in the beginning. The less time between lessons means the less you will forget, the less you will need to review, and the more quickly you will reach a confident level in your dancing.
Private dance lessons can be scheduled anytime we have an instructor available to teach your preferred times, we suggest scheduling your lessons a few weeks in advance in order to ensure you will get that time slot with your favorite dance instructor.
Many of our students use their dancing at wedding receptions, reunions, and company parties. There are also Night Clubs you can go to as well for social dancing. Additionally, if you’re planning a vacation, going on a cruise will usually provide several different themed rooms to dance in. Whether it’s Salsa or Country, there’s a little bit of everything out there. The more you learn, the more you start finding opportunities to dance.
Good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun, social activity, poise, confidence, improved personality, and new friends. Beyond these, dancing is a superb physical conditioner, providing a fun workout alternative to spending hours on a treadmill! Learning to dance will open up a wonderful new world of togetherness and a thriving year-round social calendar.
